Great Britain's total gross gambling yield (GGY) reached £15.6 billion in the year to March 2024, up 3.5% year-on-year and 10.2% above the last pre-pandemic period, according to the UK Gambling Commission. Excluding the National Lottery, GGY was £11.5 billion (+5.7%).

Online continues to grow

Remote (online) gambling keeps expanding: remote casino GGY alone topped £4 billion, and the Commission recorded a 12% year-on-year rise in online GGY in the first quarter of the 2024 financial year. Great Britain regulates on a point-of-consumption basis through the UKGC.
